Prince Harry is reportedly more eager than ever to repair relations with Prince William and Princess Catherine following Kate’s shock cancer diagnosis.
The Princess of Wales revealed her diagnosis last week in a video released on Friday and is currently undergoing “preventative” chemotherapy after cancer cells were discovered following abdominal surgery in January.
It is understood Harry and his wife Meghan Markle found out about the Princess’s cancer diagnosis through the media and they publicly wished Kate well in her recovery hours later.
According to royal author Tom Quinn, the shocking diagnosis has emboldened Harry to make more of an effort to build bridges with the royal family and the Duke of Sussex is hoping to visit the Wales clan in May.

“Given Kate’s cancer diagnosis, Harry will certainly make efforts to see his brother and Kate when he returns to the UK in May,” he told The Mirror on Monday.
“If it happens at all it’s to be a very brief carefully choreographed meeting and organised to last a short time so that the brothers can avoid any difficult conversations.”
Harry is scheduled to return to London for the tenth anniversary of his signature Invictus Games organisation, a multi-sport event for injured veteran service men and women.
“At the same time Harry knows how it will look if he comes back to the UK and doesn’t see his brother and Kate. It’s going to be a very awkward time,” Mr Quinn added.

The Duke of Sussex last visited the UK in February following the announcement of his father’s cancer diagnosis but is believed to have seen the King for less than an hour before departing the palace.
Despite the Duke of Sussex’s big plans to repair relations in May, his wife Meghan is reportedly reluctant to come along because she finds returning to England “uncomfortable”.
“(Harry) is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable,” a source told OK! magazine earlier this month.
Meghan has largely stayed away from England since publicly slamming the royal family to Oprah Winfrey and in the couple’s Netflix series and even turned down an invite to Charles’s coronation last year.
