Prince Harry Will Have a “Short and Formal” Visit With King Charles in May, Per a Royal Expert
Oh, and “world-class grudge-holder” Prince William won’t be joining.

Prince Harry is heading back to the United Kingdom in May for the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games—aka the perfect opportunity for him to see his family amid all of the health crises they’ve been facing.

And when it comes to meeting with King Charles, apparently Harry can expect a… erm…“short and formal” visit. At least, according to royal expert Tom Quinn!

While speaking to The Mirror, Quinn said, “It won’t be quite so difficult for Harry to see his father, although that relationship is also fraught with pain and a sense of grievance. But Charles knows Harry had a difficult childhood for which he, Charles, was partly responsible and so he is more forgiving than William.”

He then went on to claim (emphasis on claim) that, “The meeting between Harry and his father King Charles will be short and formal, simply because any difficult conversations could lead to complaints being widely broadcast when Harry gets back to the States. Just as with the relationship with William, Harry’s relationship with his father has been badly damaged by the publication of Spare and Harry and Meghan’s various interviews. Both William and Charles are always going to worry that they can’t say anything privately and off the record to Harry without the real risk that he will go public on anything and everything.”

Meanwhile, a visit to see Prince William and Kate Middleton during Harry’s trip doesn’t exactly seem to be in the cards at all. As royal author Christopher Andersen told the Daily Beast, “William is and always has been a world-class grudge-holder. Once he has turned his back on you, it’s virtually impossible to get back in William’s good graces. He has never gotten over Megxit, the Sussexes’ confessional Oprah Winfrey interview, or the hurtful things Harry said about him in his memoir Spare.”
