The Coalition will be overseen by two leaders The Future US, a “policy studio that forecasts the coming tech disruptions to future-proof America”, and Issue One, a “cross-partisan political reform group” of Republicans, Democrats, and independents based in Washington, D.C.
“The AI + Election Security Coalition will unite a diverse group of stakeholders from pro-democracy organizations, technology companies, civil society groups, think tanks, and research institutions to better coordinate their actions and to rapidly identify needed interventions,” their site reads.
“The Coalition has been operating informally since 2023 and will publicly expand its work to respond to the implications of AI technologies on the security and fairness of elections, with a special focus on the 2024 vote.”

Kathy Boockvar, senior advisor to The Future US, said: “I’ve been on the frontlines of efforts to protect our democracy against malicious interference and to ensure free and fair elections.”
“Election officials are working tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of election security amidst too-few resources.
“We need a whole-of-society approach to help them and voters prepare for these rapid tech developments.”
Prince Harry may have ‘some regrets’ over elements of his memoir ‘Spare’
Meghan and Harry’s support for the coalition campaign comes after sources revealed the pair were planning to travel to the UK next month with their children.
Harry is scheduled to return to London in May to mark the tenth anniversary of his signature Invictus Games organisation at an anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.
Meghan is reportedly planning to travel over as well, with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in the hope to spend more time with Harry’s extended family.
It would be the first time in two years since the children met their grandfather King Charles who is undergoing cancer treatment.
