No MATTER What: Here’s HOW Catherine, Princess of Wales, Will CELEBRATE Prince Louis’ Birthday

Catherine, Princess of Wales, is undergoing chemotherapy. Despite this, she decided not to break tradition and throw a party on Prince Louis’ birthday.

As you know, William, Prince of Wales, and his wife are raising three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales will celebrate his birthday on April 23 – he will be six years old.

The future Queen of Great Britain usually takes her own photos, which Kensington Palace publishes as official portraits on the birthdays of the couple’s children. She also organizes themed parties for her sons and daughter according to their hobbies. This year will be no exception. The Princess of Wales intends to organize a party for Louis, despite undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. Even despite cancer treatment, children remain the top priority for Catherine.

The photos show Louis in Windsor, where the Wales family lives.

The photos were taken earlier in April by Millie Pilkington, a U.K.-based photographer, according to Kensington Palace.

Images released for Louis’ birthday last year showed him playing in the sand while wearing a gray sweater with different-colored stars emblazoned across it.

Photos from prior years showed him riding on his bike before his first day of nursery school for his third birthday, making colorful handprint art for his second birthday and, for his first birthday, flashing a smile for the camera.PHOTO: Britain's Prince Louis, whose fifth birthday is on Sunday, is seen in a portrait being pushed in a wheelbarrow by his mother, Britain's Catherine, Princess of Wales, in this undated handout photo issued by Kensington Palace, April 22, 2023.

Louis’ birthday comes just two days after what would have been his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s 97th birthday. The late monarch died last September at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The young prince’s birthday also comes nearly two weeks prior to the coronation of his grandfather King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

This year will be no exception; the Princess of Wales intends to organize a party for Louis despite undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. Even despite cancer treatment, children remain the top priority for Catherine. The mom of many children will make sure her youngest child’s sixth birthday is celebrated as usual. When the big day arrives, Catherine and William have made it a habit to make their children feel normal in every situation, which means they will continue to celebrate important family milestones. In 2022, the Princess of Wales revealed how she usually prepares for her children’s birthdays. As Catherine said at the time, she likes to make a cake. It has become something of a tradition that she doesn’t go to bed until midnight, with an incredible amount of cake mix and icing. The mom of three admitted that she cooks quite a lot and she enjoys it.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will have plenty of opportunities for family celebrations in the near future. On April 29th, the couple will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary. On May 2nd, Princess Charlotte will turn 9 years old, and on July 22nd, their firstborn son, Prince George, will celebrate his 11th birthday. In the preparation of desserts, the wife of the heir to the throne can ask for help; the children have inherited her love of baking. George, Charlotte, and Louis teamed up to bake a cake for Mother’s Day two years ago. Perhaps one of them will lend a hand in the coming weeks to make their relatives’ birthdays extra special. Most importantly, Catherine is now close to her children and husband; the children are supporting her and William with a smile. Catherine, Princess of Wales, has not made an official public appearance since last December; she underwent abdominal surgery in mid-January. On March 22nd, her Highness announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Kensington Palace says the Princess of Wales will return to her normal duties when doctors give her permission to do so; she is now fully focused on her recovery. The palace has not yet confirmed whether Louis or his older sister Princess Charlotte, 7, will attend the coronation, but their older brother Prince George, 9, will have a special role in the high-profile event.
George will serve as one of four Pages of Honor for Charles at the May 6 coronation at Westminster Abbey. George and his fellow pages are expected to process behind Charles in the ceremony and hold his ceremonial robes.

Louis is now fourth in line to the British throne, behind his father, William, and his older siblings George and Charlotte.
