Kate Middleton & Prince William’s plans for wedding anniversary will be ‘very different to usual’ after ‘difficult year’
PRINCE William and Princess Kate’s wedding anniversary will “not be easy” after “difficult year”, a royal expert has claimed.

The future King and Queen will be celebrating 13 years of marriage on Monday – while Kate continues to recover following her cancer diagnosis.

It is believed the couple will celebrate away from the spotlight, after Kate asked for “time, space and privacy” while she completes her treatment.

Traditionally, the couple release a photograph on social media on their anniversary – and royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes this year will be no different.

Speaking to The Sun he explained: “This will not be an anniversary that will be easy. All sorts of memories will come back. It does looks as if we’ll probably get a photograph of some sort or another.

“When they celebrated 10 years they put out a charming video of the family. Last year they were on bikes – that was a delightful photograph.

“This year, of course we know that Catherine is battling preventative cancer, and she’s recovered from as substantial abdominal operation.

“It’s been a very difficult year, and clearly they’re very close knit family.

“They will rejoice in each other’s company. They will involve the family and they will undoubtedly feel that the pressure it wouldn’t be human to assume anything else.”

Last year’s photo showed the prince and princess with their arms around each other during a bike ride in Norfolk.

It comes after an adorable photo of Prince Louis taken by Princess Kate has been shared on Tuesday to celebrate his sixth birthday.

The cute snap, which is understood to be unedited, was taken by Kate at Windsor in the last week to mark Louis’s special day.

Kate and William first met while studying art history at St Andrew’s University, where the Prince fell head over heels for Kate during a charity fashion show she was modelling in.

During their second year, the pair become roommates – the point at which William said their relationship “blossomed”.

In October 2010, it was announced that Kate and William were engaged following a proposal in Kenya.

They tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London in a televised event which was watched by millions all over the world.

Prince Harry served as his brother’s best man, with both of them dressing in traditional military uniforms.

Kate, meanwhile wore a French Chantily and English Cluny lace Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton gown.

Kate later changed into a second white strapless evening gown for a dinner hosted by Prince Charles with roughly 300 guests in attendance.

The loved-up Prince said at the time: “We had a little private time away together with some friends, and I just decided it was the right time, really.

“We’d been talking about marriage for a while, so it wasn’t a massively big surprise, but I took her up somewhere nice in Kenya.”
