In addition, she is an executive producer alongside her husband for his new Netflix polo show with titles and release dates set to be announced “in the coming months”.

The Uncensored presenter, 59, has addressed their new business ventures and said the duo follow one rule – suggesting they drop their royal title “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.

“If they want to do this kind of thing as celebrities they can do it,” he explained. “But they can’t do it with the royal titles.”

Piers continued on The Megyn Kelly Show, “They shouldn’t be using the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bestowed on them by the monarchy.”

He added that the pair can continue to embark on celebrity careers before issuing a six-word response: “But don’t trade on the titles.”

The outspoken journalist suggested it won’t be long before King Charles will be forced to have a conversation with the pair, saying: “I hope that King Charles – who is massively distracted by his illness – will at some stage have that conversation and say, ‘You can’t keep the titles. I’m sorry.'”

Meghan and Harry stepped down from their senior roles of working royals in early 2020, with the couple then soon deciding to move from Windsor in England to Montecito in California.

The Sussexes have since resided in their sprawling mansion with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Piers added: “There’s nothing ‘official’ about it – they’re not working royals. This is precisely why their titles must be stripped.”

During the visit, Prince Harry and Meghan will meet service members and participate in a variety of cultural activities.

Why did Harry and Meghan make a Netflix series about their life?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of public attention since they took a step back from senior royal duties in 2020.

In a trailer for the Netflix series about them, Prince Harry told viewers that “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors” in a reference to how their lives may differ from what the public think about the couple. Meghan adds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”.

Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive up to $100 million for making the show, although this has been disputed and the true figure is unknown.
