Elated Prince William ‘had grin of excitement and anticipation’ during England’s Euro clash

Body language expert Judi James says Prince William had “angst and anticipation” as he was pictured ahead of England’s EURO 2024 clash against Switzerland tonight

Prince William had a “grin of anticipation” ahead of kick off for tonight’s England’s quarter final clash against Switzerland, according to a body language expert.

Prince William was spotted cheering on England as he sang with the other fans in the stadium as he made his second trip to watch the national team, in Dusseldorf. The Prince was spotted grinning ahead of kick off, before taking part in the national anthem. Now an expert says William, President of the Football Association, was showing “angst” ahead of kick off.

Judi James told the Mirror: “There were some moments before the game started some of the angst and frustration of the England team’s last few games seemed reflected in William’s facial expression, with some lip-pursing, clenched teeth and a furrow-browed frown.

“As he got chatting to the officials around him he appeared to revert to a more chirpy non-verbal banter mode, curling his hands into fists to mime what looked like a driving gesture or leaning to talk to someone behind him with a very impish facial expression.

By the time the teams came out he was standing upright with his hands clasped in front of his torso and a grin of excitement and anticipation on his face.” William, like millions of other Brits, was among those to have suffered through the round of 16 match with Slovakia.

However, when asked about Louis’ suggestion to eat twice as much food to prepare for the tournament, England captain Harry Kane jokingly said: “I don’t think our nutritionist will be happy with that advice.”
