Expert reveals reason Prince Harry ‘isn’t up to writing second book’ despite £16m deal
A royal expert pinpointed key reason that Prince Harry will not be writing a second book, following his first explosive memoir, Spare.
Prince Harry: Experts discuss the possibility of future books
Prince Harry has damaged his relationship with his father, King Charles, after attacking his mother-in-law, Queen Camilla, and is not “up for writing another book”, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from the Royal Family after he quit his duties back and moved to the US in 2020.
Harry’s rift with the Firm has deepened even further after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, unleashed a series of sensational claims against them through interviews, their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and the duke’s memoir, Spare, as well as their links to other figures attacking the royals.
But in Spare, Harry severely criticised Camilla and according to royal author Ingrid Seward – who branded the duke’s move “stupid” – it has greatly impacted his relationship with the King.
Ms Seward told 9Honey: “I can’t see that Harry’s up for writing another book.

“I think [writing about Camilla]it certainly damaged his relationship with his father that he criticised his wife so openly.
“But you know, Charles has such a busy life, there’s so much going on, I don’t think he’s holding a grudge against Harry, I just think he’s withdrawn from Harry.”
The expert added that Harry was “very stupid to criticise Camilla, that was really stupid because he didn’t have to, it didn’t make the book any better.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a lucrative four-book deal with publishing giant Penguin Random House in 2021, which is reportedly worth nearly £16 million ($20 million).

Harry has alleged that Camilla was leaking stories about the royals to the media to boost her own image.
In Spare, he wrote: “I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”
The Duke also branded the Queen “dangerous” and a “villain” who left “bodies in the street” in order to increase the public’s perception of her.
Last November, the Telegraph reported that the King was left “disappointed” by his son’s claims.
