Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could soon return to the Royal Family if Prince William gives his blessing, according to King Charles’ former butler.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, but Harry has since revealed his plans to return to the UK. Following a brief trip to London after King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, Harry appeared on Good Morning America and said: “I have got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”
Grant Harrold believes Meghan and Harry could be welcomed back to the royal fold despite their years-long feud. However, he said the couple will need to mend their relationship with the Prince of Wales.

Grant, who worked for the monarch for seven years, admitted it is difficult to say for certain if Meghan and Harry will return as full-time royals, but told The New York Post “it is possible”. He said the Royal Family will have to fix their strained relationships before a reunion can be had.
He suggested: “He [Harry] could have a discussion with his brother about resuming his royal duties, but obviously there is so much that has happened over the last couple of years and that needs to be sorted out before the Sussexes made a permanent return.” However, the former royal butler believes the relationship is not “too far gone” to be fixed.
Harry and William have become estranged in recent years, with the Duke of Sussex detailing their strained relationship in his memoir. Harry accused his brother of calling Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive” and alleged William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor” during one explosive fight.
Grant reminisced about how close Harry and William had been when he worked for the Royal Family. He also suggested it would be good for Meghan to return to the UK alongside Harry and their two children – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Since moving to America, Meghan is yet to return to the UK. Harry has made several return trips to his homeland, but his wife has always stayed with their children in their California mansion.
Despite this, Grant believes Meghan will want to “show her support” for her husband’s family after King Charles was diagnosed with cancer. He suggested royal fans may even see the Sussexes return to the UK as early as this year.
