On June 8th, Queen Camilla spoke about her husband’s health at Hampton Court Palace’s second annual Queen’s Reading Room Literary Festival.
According to **The Sun**, the queen spoke with author Lee Child and stated that King Charles is doing fine, except he won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told.
The literary festival was started as a result of Camilla’s online book club, which she began as the Duchess of Cornwall in January 2021.
She took her main cause of promoting literacy to social media. In February of 2023, it changed its name to the Queen’s Reading Room Charity, with a mission to champion literature in the UK and beyond.

The treatment program for His Majesty will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made thus far to allow the king to resume a number of public-facing responsibilities.
