Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly taken a joint decision to protect the privacy of children Archie and Lilibet as they film new projects with Netflix.
According to a source, the couple have decided to keep their two children away from filming as Harry pursues his polo project with Netflix and Meghan begins filming for her lifestyle and cookery show. In the past Archie and Lilibet have featured briefly in the couple’s Netflix series and been pictured in the media, but it appears Harry is keen to keep them away from the spotlight as much as possible.
Whilst Meghan is said to be more relaxed about having their children involved in their projects, Harry has put his foot down and “clearly won” ,according to a source.

An insider speaking to The Sun said: “Harry and Meghan have not always agreed on how much they should expose their children to the media but, in this case, Harry has clearly won.”
Keeping Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet private means that Meghan’s programme, which is tied to her American Riviera Orchard brand, will be filmed away from the family home in Montecito. Meghan’s project will show the “joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship.” Harry is also filming a project as part of the couple’s £100m deal with Netflix as he focuses on the sport of polo and looks behind the scenes at the sport.
However Meghan’s project has already caused issues as it’s said to have halted her podcast reprisal plans, and pushed them back into 2025. The Duchess of Sussex’ return to podcasting was announced earlier this year as she said she would continue her “love of podcasting” and re-release her Archetypes podcast. However the podcast plans are ‘struggling to get off the starting blocks’ according to a source.
A source revealed to the Daily Mail the “smaller podcast company is struggling to get off the starting blocks.” Lemonada is said to be concerned about “scheduling conflicts” between the launch of the podcast and Meghan’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan’s return to podcasting also included a reprisal of her podcast ‘Archetypes’, which previously had over 10 million downloads, and averaged almost a million listens per episode. When Meghan announced her new deal earlier this year, she said: “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast is well in the works.”
