Meghan Markle’s ‘change of heart’ leaves Prince Harry facing two difficult choices
Meghan Markle is said to have had a ‘change of heart’ over her and Prince Harry’s potential UK return next month, with the Duchess of Sussex now fearing for her children’s safety
Prince Harry’s UK comeback could be in jeopardy, due to a sudden “change of heart” from his wife, Meghan Markle, it has been claimed. A source has revealed that the Duke of Sussex is now within a tricky conundrum over their proposed return to the UK next month.
Planned to address the 10th Anniversary Service of the Invictus Games, taking place at St Paul’s Cathedral on 8 May, Harry faces uncertainty over his imminent homecoming. Harry’s presence at the service has been set on the official schedule, while Meghan’s participation remains as ‘TBC’ – To Be Confirmed.
However, it appears that plans may change. Even though Meghan had initially hoped to accompany Harry, in addition to bringing along their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a reported leak of their travel plans has led to concerns about their safety.

According to the same source, the debate now arises whether to amp up their security enabling the family to attend or for Harry to fly solo. They said: “The situation is now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go to it alone.”
The unnamed source further claimed that a desperate plea was made by Harry to his spouse in what boiled down to seven words: “I don’t want to do this alone.”

Insiders have revealed that Prince Harry is reluctant to keep making solo visits to the UK, stating: “He would prefer it if the entire family made regular visits to see his family and build bridges, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn’t possible at the moment.”
They added that both Harry and Meghan had plans to attend the Invictus ceremony in the UK, but Meghan reconsidered after the details of their appearance were leaked. They said: “Both Harry and Meghan were planning to come to the UK, but when the exact time and date of their appearance [at the Invictus ceremony] were made public, she started to rethink that idea.”
The couple initially intended to fly to the UK on May 7 and stay incognito for a week before returning to California. The source added: “Harry and Meghan are planning a fifth birthday party for Archie at their Montecito home on May 6 and were then going to fly over to the UK on a private jet the following day.”
Their itinerary included attending the Anniversary Service and spending additional days in the UK for their children to engage with the Royal Family. “They were going to attend the Anniversary Service, followed by a few more days in the UK, so the children could meet with members of the Royal Family,” the source added.
However, beneath the concerns about security, sources suggest Meghan harbours deep-seated anxiety about returning to England, where she feels unwelcome.
The source claimed Meghan fears being “thrown back into an anxiety-fuelled visit to England, where she feels like she’s not wanted.”
