Mike Tindall once made a cutting remark about Prince Harry in a “show of loyalty” to Prince William.
The husband of Zara Tindall made the savage comment to a fellow guest at the Platinum Party at the Palace on Saturday, June 4, 2022, to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Prince Harry had returned to the UK for the Jubilee celebrations along with his wife, Meghan, and the former England rugby star didn’t hold back on what he thought about the Duke of Sussex.
Mike Tindall, spoke on his podcast ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby’ after the Jubilee celebrations stating: “It was at the concert where there was a bit more of a chat together because we went in and had a drink with everyone after.”
He added: “I think the committee that put it together did an incredible job.”
However, following the concert it is alleged Mike spoke to a fellow guest and referred to Prince Harry’s behaviour as that of a “b*****d”.
During the Jubilee celebrations, Meghan and Harry made just one official appearance with the rest of the Royal Family as they attended the service of thanksgiving held at St Paul’s Cathedral on June 3.
As the rows of royals exited the cathedral following that service, Zara Tindall paused near the exit with her husband to talk with those leaving the building.
Footage broadcast shows them then approached by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who happily chatted with the late Queen’s granddaughter.
But Mike visibly avoided speaking with Prince Harry and Meghan throughout the conversation, instead staring into the distance and striking up a separate chat with David Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon and the late Princess Margaret’s son.
Lady Colin Campbell, speaking to GB News, and reported in Entertainment Daily, believes the behaviour of Mike Tindall being distant to Harry proves loyalty to Prince William.
She claimed to GB News: “Between the booing and the cold-shouldering that they got from everybody, my understanding is that by the time they left they were absolutely spitting bricks.”
She added: “Mike Tindall avoided them like the plague. He made absolutely sure he did not catch their eye”.
Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee took place in 2022, marking 70 years on the throne. A rare four-day bank holiday weekend was held at the start of June in the UK to mark the occasion.
