Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had big plans for their children to visit the UK again in 2022 but were halted by a tragic event. The family were expected to visit the country in early September 2022, but the untimely passing of Queen Elizabeth II meant the trip was never to be.
Harry had planned a family trip from 2nd to 11th September 2022, his recent court case found. This would have been the second time Archie and Lilibet came to the UK, after their first visit in June 2022 for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, as the Express reported.
But RAVEC, the group that takes care of security for the Royal household, stopped providing security to the Sussexes, so Archie and Lilibet stayed in America while Harry and Meghan came to the UK on their own.
Neither of the Sussex children attended the late Queen’s funeral on September 19.

Prince Harry might not agree with the recent court decision about his security, seeking to overturn a ruling that saw his security status downgraded but Pauline Maclaran, a Royal Author, has said that it might not be a good idea to argue about it.
Professor Maclaran, who is an expert in Marketing and Consumer Research at Royal Holloway, University of London, shared her thoughts with DailyExpressUS about what could happen if there is an appeal.
She explained: “We must remember that Harry has had a certain amount of success previously, particularly with the hacking case. However, there is no doubt he is not having a good run at present, although I think he is likely to appeal over the recent decision on his level of security in the UK.”
She went on: “I don’t think he is assessing the British public’s mood well in that if he were to win this case eventually, there would be a lot of angry feelings about the (mis)use of taxpayers’ money.”
She also foresaw a potential public backlash against the Royals, stating: “Indeed, this would be a decision that might rebound on the Royals more generally as there are often rumblings about their expenditures funded by the public purse… I think it’s highly unlikely that any appeal will succeed.
“For the moment though, and perhaps due to his previous success, Harry is likely to continue his crusades both against the press and for his family’s security in the UK as he appears to very motivated by what he sees as quests for justice.”
