Prince Harry puts on brave face for thronging crowds as Royals snub Invictus Games service
Prince Harry was seen smiling and with a brave face while shaking hands with fans in the crowd after he attended a service in London.
Harry returned to the UK on Wednesday for an Invictus Games event without his other half Meghan Markle. He attended a service at St.
Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a groundbreaking sports competition for ex-service people that Harry founded back in 2014. The crowd was heard cheering Harry and cheering, “we love you Harry” as he went on his walkabout outside the cathedral.
The Duke of Sussex was solo as the Royal Family did not make it to the event to show their support.

King Charles was joined by a large group of royals in a show of unity at the Buckingham Palace garden party, while Harry was attending the Invictus Games service. The location of the celebration was only two kilometres from St. Paul’s.
Even though his father, brother, Prince William or Kate Middleton were not by Harry’s side, his late mother’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, and sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, were. Harry’s cousin, Louis Spencer, the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s wife, Akshata Murty, and his lawyer David Sherbourne also attended. The Duke’s “second dad,” former Army officer, Mark Dyer, was at the service as well.
Meghan stayed in California with their children Archie and Lilibet and supported from afar. She will be reunited with Harry in Nigeria. The Duke and Duchess plan to engage with Service members and immerse themselves in local cultural events there. Meghan has stepped foot in the UK three times since leaving the Royal Family in 2020. She attended the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022 with Harry. She also attended a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral as part of the celebrations, which was their first joint public appearance with the Royal Family in two years.
Her decision not to join Harry for his trip this week comes after the Duke of Sussex opened up about his desire to make more visits to see his family. She is also worried about their security and feeling safe.

Once upon a time in a magical land, a prince was born. Sorry to be corny, but it’s mostly true. But let’s rephrase: In the early 1980s in London, a prince was born. Sure, we could be referencing Prince Harry—but in this case, we’re talking about Prince William. And if you’re here, we’re guessing it’s because you want to see Prince William’s life in photos. You’re in luck, because we’ve grabbed his adorable baby photos with Princess Diana, childhood photos with his little bro, and several—frankly—smoldering shots of early-20s Will that you’re definitely gonna want to see. Plus, some photos of Will and Kate that give “Mom and Dad on vacation” vibes in the best possible way. And of course, a few cute snaps of the future king and his kids, George, Charlotte, and Louis, because how could we not??
Without further ado, here are a bunch of rare pictures of Prince William you probably haven’t seen before.
