Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have different feelings about their ongoing feud with his family, according to a royal expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to fly to the United Kingdom this year for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which the former founded in 2014.
However, it remains unclear if they will travel to his home country since their relationship with the members of the firm got strained after they quit their royal duties in 2020.
Tom Quinn, a royal biographer and author of “Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle,” believes that Prince Harry wanted to mend fences after his father, King Charles, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, were diagnosed with cancer. However, his wife is allegedly still waiting for an apology from the royal family.

“Harry would love to patch things up with his sister-in-law and with his brother and father,” Quinn told the Mirror. “He sees things far more calmly now he has had his say in Spare and in various interviews, but he just cannot think how to do it and keep Meghan on board.”
Markle and Middleton have been pitted since the former joined the royal family in 2018. Prince Harry opened up about the duchesses’ fragile relationship in his memoir “Spare” where he claimed that Middleton had some issues with how Markle planned their royal wedding, made his bride cry over their exchange of text concerning the bridesmaid dresses and grimaced when the former actress borrowed her lip gloss.
Quinn said the Princess of Wales has moved on from the issue and doesn’t want an apology. However, the former actress is still expecting it.

“Kate definitely doesn’t want an apology, but Meghan definitely does,” Quinn said.
Meanwhile, the heir to the throne allegedly considers the whole ordeal a “storm in a teacup.”
“William just thinks the whole thing is a storm in a teacup and can’t understand why his brother can’t get over the sort of spat that many brothers have to go through,” he continued.
“Meghan and Harry feel hurt by the way they were treated when they were working members of the royal family and William and Kate feel they were treated poorly once Harry and Meghan left and Harry published ‘Spare.'”
In 2023, Prince Harry sat down for an interview with The Telegraph and said he was willing to end the feud but wanted an apology for his wife.
“I’m willing to forgive you for everything you’ve done, and I wish you’d actually sat down with me, properly, and instead of saying. ‘I’m delusional and paranoid,’ actually sit down and have a proper conversation about this because what I’d really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife,” Prince Harry said.
