Kate Middleton’s absence from royal duties following her abdominal surgery has led to an outpouring of concern for the princess and a bevy of wild internet conspiracy theories (including that the princess is missing or is having a BBL procedure).
Her husband Prince William has kept quiet about the public’s thoughts during his most recent public engagements, but on Wednesday, the royal finally broke his silence on the rumors.
“His focus is on his work and not on social media,” a spokesman for William told People.
Speculation of the princess’s whereabouts started swirling last week, despite the palace’s statement that Kate is “doing well” and reiterating her recovery timeline following the planned procedure in January. William even subtly gave his wife a shoutout during his last two appearances.
During a visit to Western Marble Arch Synagogue, he made a statement against antisemitism on behalf of both him and his wife and received flowers for Kate on several occasions
William’s statement comes after Middleton was photographed for the first time since Christmas service in December. She was spotted in the passenger seat of a car with her mother, Carole Middleton, who was driving the Audi. On Tuesday, eagle-eyed fans even noticed that the Ministry of Defense listed Middleton in this year’s Trooping the Colour breakdown, leading fans to believe that the event in June would be her first official appearance following her surgery.
