Prince William reportedly backed his stepbrother Tom Parker Bowles’ decision to counter Prince Harry’s accusations about Queen Camilla, according to commentator Kinsey Schofield.
Parker Bowles defended his mother against his stepbrother’s criticism, asserting that there was no ulterior motive behind her rekindled romance with King Charles III.
Charles and Camilla famously reignited their relationship while married to others in the late 1980s, leading to the collapse of both their first marriages, as per the Express.
The Duke of Sussex previously criticised his ‘dangerous’ stepmother for her part in his parents’ divorce in 1996, labelling the Queen Consort a ‘villain’.
Schofield suggests that the Prince of Wales would like to publicly support his stepbrother but is constrained by the longstanding Royal Family’s unwritten rule of “never complain, never explain.”
The American host of To Di For stated: “I love that Tom spoke out about this because William would like to. He’s fought for a change in strategy and he’s been shut down.”

“And Tom does not have to adhere to the never complain, never explain mantra because he’s not a member of the Royal Family. He spoke out to defend his mother and I don’t think Camilla was crawling, or desperately trying to get the crown.”
She revealed to Sky News Australia: “Her great-grandmother was Alice Keppel who was happily the mistress of the King I don’t think she even thought she’d get to marry him let alone be the Queen Consort. So good for her.”
Parker Bowles confidently defended his mother’s liaison with the King, maintaining that she had simply wedded the man she loved after a long time, and it wasn’t part of any deliberate plan.
He espoused on The News Agents podcast: “I think change happens but I don’t care what anyone says this wasn’t any sort of end game. She married the person she loved and this is what happened.”

In his contentious memoir ‘Spare’, Prince Harry insinuated that he and William had implored their father not to tie the knot with Camilla in 2005.
He also accused the King and Camilla of conspiring with their PR team to leak stories about his substance abuse to bolster their public image.
The Prince further alleged that William bemoaned about the couple’s PR tactics as he penned: “Pa and Camilla’s people had planted a story or stories about him, and Kate, and the kids, and he wasn’t going to take it any more. Give Pa and Camilla an inch, he said, they take a mile.”
Reportedly, the Prince of Wales, according to the author Robert Jobson, vehemently demanded that the Royal Family devise a ‘clear strategy’ to deal with Prince Harry’s allegations following his rift from The Firm with Meghan Markle.

Prince William was reportedly furious with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Biographer Robert Jobson claims in his book Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch revealed that the heir to the throne was troubled by the “total of discretion” the couple had showcased.

Jobson wrote: “In the aftermath of the Oprah interview, William went to his father and told him that the Royal Family needed a clear strategy in dealing with the Sussexes, the renegade royals.”
“He became a key figure in the ongoing conversations between the Queen and Charles on how to counter the ‘groundless’ verbal attacks. Of course, Her Majesty would have the final say, but she needed Charles and William to guide her.”
