Prince William’s Rep Addresses Nonstop Kate Middleton Conspiracy Theories
Kensington Palace has once again dropped a statement about Kate Middleton’s whereabouts—this time, from Prince William’s rep who made it very clear he’s not paying attention to conspiracy theories. (One might argue that making a statement is, in fact, paying attention, but moving on!)
While speaking with People, Prince William’s spokesperson said, “His focus is on his work and not on social media.” Okay then!
This, of course, follows a statement Kate’s rep gave out to multiple publications, including Vanity Fair, which read the following: “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’s recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”
Sources close to the Princess of Wales also told the outlet that she, “has not ruled out one day speaking about what she has been through, but for now, her focus is on getting better and getting back to work when she is ready.”

A quick reminder that Kate has been staying out of the public eye since her procedure was publicized on January 17—at which point, Kensington Palace announced that, “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
Since then, the Princess of Wales has been seen exactly once while driving with her mom Carole Middleton. The snap was released by US news outlets only, and, interestingly enough, wasn’t published in the UK. According to the Daily Mail, “the pictures were published by US gossip website TMZ but not in the UK after Kensington Palace appealed for her to be able to recuperate in private.” The outlet also reported that, “Kensington Palace did not comment tonight but sources stressed these were paparazzi pictures that were not authorised by the palace.”
