Princess Anne ‘avoiding’ Prince Harry, Meghan Markle for ‘political’ reasons
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s feud with royal family could be diffused a little if one member of the royal family intervenes in the matter.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal roles four years and since then the rift between them and the royals has only deepened. Despite, Prince Harry visiting his cancer-stricken father on a short notice, the rift appear to be at a stalemate.
According to royal commentator, Sarah Vine, Princess Anne, 73, could help with the ongoing feud if she spoke with Harry and Meghan.
“I think [Princess Anne’s] the answer to all the Royal Family’s problems,” she told GB News.
“I think we should send Princess Anne to deal with Harry and Meghan…because if you got a call from Princess Anne you’d sit up jolly straight,” she continued. “If I were the King I’d say ‘Anne, please just go and deal with them.”
However, royal commentator Gareth Russell disagreed to the notion stating that Anne’s travelling to the US may come across as something entirely different.
He told GB News that a royal member travelling to US to talk yo Harry would “give the impression that they’re trying to lure him back.”
“I don’t think that would be a hugely popular impression with many people in Britain,” he noted how it would impact the monarchy politically.
Russell opined that for a reconciliation, Harry should be “spending more time in the United Kingdom,” something that Harry “says he wants to do.”
