Princess Diana would be “absolutely distraught” if she witnessed her sons Prince Harry and Prince William feuding in the way they have been, according to a royal expert.
While Prince Harry and Prince William have been entangled in a long-standing feud in the public eye in recent years one expert who has personally met the late princess claims that she would’ve been “deeply upset” by their rift.
The brothers’ bond has been under a tense strain ever since the Duke of Sussex’s publicly exposed their family issues in his memoir Spare and Netflix series Harry & Meghan after stepping away from his Royal duties.
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn told The Mirror : “Diana, who I met a couple of times, would be absolutely distraught to see her sons feuding in the way that they have been feuding,” and added: “They used to fight like cat and dog sometimes when they were young, but this was just normal boy rough-and-tumble.”

Quinn went on to add that although they butt heads in childhood, their current feud is “really poisonous” and something that Diana would’ve found deeply troubling. The expert went as far as to add: “Diana would’ve been deeply upset by it. But she would also have been angry – she would have banged their heads together!”
The former Princess of Wales and mother to Prince Harry and Prince William tragically passed away in August of 1997 following a deadly car crash in Paris. Diana shared a nurturing and loving relationship with her sons until her sudden death which occurred when Harry was just 12 years old and William was 15.
While the brothers used to be inseparable, with it believed that Harry would’ve been William’s top advisors, the pair have grown apart in recent years. In Harry’s book, the Duke of Sussex accused his sibling of calling his wife Meghan Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive” and claimed that William had “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor” during one heated fight. This, coupled with other explosive bombshells in the release, have led to a public fallout between the two.
But it seems that Harry has attempted to mend their relationship as Harry had seemingly left the door open for a potential royal return following the news of his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis. His offer to help on a temporary basis is reportedly based on whether or not his brother William agreed to the idea.
