Queen Camilla issues 13-word update on Princess Kate in sweet interaction with children

Queen Camilla is visiting Shrewsbury today and two young girls handed her posters to give to the Princess of Wales.

Queen Camilla greeted some of the hundreds of wellwishers gathered to see her in Shrewsbury today, and two young girls captured her attention.

Harriet, 10, and Lois, six, had made posters for Kate, the Princess of Wales, who bravely revealed on Friday that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

The Queen, 76, promised to deliver the messages to her daughter-in-law and said: “I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support.”

Camilla visited Shrewsbury’s Farmers’ Market where she took a tour of its many stalls, including food, artisan, jewellery and craft stalls.

King Charles’s wife resumed her royal duties today as the monarch had taken a step back from public-facing duties as he undergoes cancer treatment.

Charles is still undertaking constitutional duties and is expected to attend this Easter Sunday church service, along with the rest of the Royal Family in Windsor.

Buckingham Palace on Tuesday confirmed the King and Queen will lead the Royal Family at St George’s Chapel for the annual event.

It will be the first major event Charles will attend since the Palace announced his cancer diagnosis back in February.

The move is said to signal that his doctors believe he is well enough to be around more people despite his ongoing treatment.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are not expected to attend the service this year.

Princess Kate is currently going through preventative chemotherapy for a type of cancer and there is no set date regarding her return to her royal duties.

In Friday’s emotional video message announcing her cancer diagnosis, the future queen said: “My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery. ”
