Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry will only bring Meghan and kids to UK if there’s one ‘major change’
Prince Harry will travel to London next week to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games but his wife Meghan Markle and their two children will not join him
Prince Harry will only bring his wife Meghan Markle and their two children to the UK if there is one “major change”, it has been claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has confirmed he will be at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 to mark the 10th anniversary of his highly successful Invictus Games, but Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet won’t be by his side.
Instead, Meghan will meet up with Harry after his visit to the UK, and the pair will head to Nigeria after being invited by the west African country’s chief of defence staff, who met Harry in Germany last September at Invictus Games Dusseldorf. There, the couple will meet service members and their families, and participate in traditional cultural activities, Nigerian media reported.
The Telegraph previously reportedly that there is one issue that makes Harry feel like he can’t bring his family to the UK – and they will only be able to come if something changes. The publication says it understands that unless Harry can overturn a ruling by the Home Office that he is not immediately entitled to police protection when in the UK – he does not feel he can bring Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to his homeland.
It comes as the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary with an unseen wedding snap. Prince William and Princess Kate uploaded a black and white image of themselves on April 29, 2011 after they tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London. On Monday, a royal expert spoke about how this year’s anniversary would “not be easy” for the pair as Kate continues to recover following her cancer diagnosis.

Mike Tindall reveals true feelings over Prince Harry
Mike Tindall once showed how he felt about Prince Harry with a single scathing one-word remark.
The ex-England rugby player and husband of the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara, is believed to have made the frank remark following the platinum party at Buckingham Palace in June 2022. It was when Prince Harry had returned to celebrate the Queen’s landmark milestone. Tindall reportedly did not hold back what he thought about the Duke of Sussex. While the Prince did not attend the concert in front of Buckingham Palace Tindall was and found himself sat behind the now-Prince of Wales.
Following the concert, Tindall spoke to another guest and allegedly described Prince Harry’s behaviour as that of a “b******,” the Daily Express reports. Throughout the celebrations, Meghan and Harry made a single official appearance with the rest of the family. The pair were present at the thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral but otherwise did not make public appearances during the celebrations. While Zara did speak to Meghan, her husband did not engage in conversation with the Prince, opting instead to sit silently or speak with the Earl of Snowdon.

Doctors weigh in on King Charles’ decision to return to work
King Charles will be returning to his public-facing duties following a three month break to undergo treatment for cancer.
Buckingham Palace revealed in a statement on Saturday, April 27, that Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday to help mark the milestone. His Majesty first announced the news of his cancer diagnosis in February, and is continuing to receive outpatient care for the illness. But experts say working will help boost the King’s psychological and physical well being, and avoid him having to dwell on his health. They’ve also pointed to Charles’ return to work as a positive sign, indicating that he is responding to treatment.
World leading cancer specialist, Professor Karol Sikora, said: “Physically, King Charles is clearly doing okay but psychologically there is going to be uncertainty about whether the cancer will come back – even after treatment. That is a problem with any cancer diagnosis. There is also a chance that the treatment itself might cause problems. This uncertainty can cause profound problems for some people. One of the best ways to handle this is to get back to normal as soon as possible.”

Why Meghan is snubbing UK visit
Prince Harry will return to the UK in less than two weeks to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the Invictus Games – but Meghan Markle is unlikely to join him, a royal expert has revealed.
The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex has announced his plans to attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 – but made no mention of his wife joining him on the trip. The Sussexes moved to the US after stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and their relationship with the royal family has been pretty frosty ever since.
Although 42-year-old Meghan often appears at her husband’s side at Invictus Games events, she is likely to give the UK celebrations a miss due to the feelings of “hostility” towards her in the country, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

Royal Family’s real jobs revealed
Members of the royal family may be accustomed to a highly privileged lifestyle, but some of them also have to work hard to bring home the bacon.
In 2022, it was reported that the Queen’s youngest granddaughter Lady Louise Windsor had taken a part-time job throughout the summer as she waited for her A-level results. The 18-year-old was believed to have worked at a garden centre for £6.83 an hour, with shoppers praising her for being “polite and attentive” in her role.
Lady Louise later went to St Andrews University in Scotland, where her cousins Prince William and Princess Catherine met. She is currently studying English Literature. But Louise isn’t the only royal to have held down a job in the real world – many of her relatives have also worked for a living. But what positions have they held? Here we take a look…

Charles will be ‘too busy’ to see Harry on his trip to UK next week
King Charles is reportedly unlikely to have a major reunion with Prince Harry next week as his diary is said to be “quite busy”.
It was confirmed yesterday that Harry will be travelling to London in a matter of days to attend a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He will be at the service of thanksgiving at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday, May 8, where he is expected to provide a reading, marking a decade since the inaugural Invictus Games London in 2014.
The trip to London will mark his first visit to the city since he dashed back to the UK in February in the hours after the King’s cancer diagnosis was made public. Harry spent just 45 minutes with his dad on a whirlwind trip that saw him spend just over 24 hours in his home country.

Meghan Markle has ‘long way to go’ before returning to UK
Meghan Markle has a “long way to go” before returning to UK, according to a royal expert.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that while Charles may be open to meeting with Harry, it doesn’t mean he’ll get a “warm reception.”
“The King has always kept the door open to Harry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he would invariably get a warm reception,” he explained.
He added: “It will take its time. But clearly the situation has changed in recent weeks beyond all expectations. I don’t think it would be too difficult, it depends how you define reconcile. I think there’s a long way to go before Harry is bringing over Meghan and the children.”

Duchess of Edinburgh pays respects to victims of Bucha massacre
During the visit, Sophie paid her respects to those who died in Bucha, two years on from its liberation from Russian forces, and visited the “Road to Life”, a bridge which became a key part of the Ukrainian resistance when it was blown up to stop Russian troops proceeding to Kyiv, and later became a vital route for people to flee to safety from the Russian occupation.
The Duchess of Edinburgh also demonstrated her support for Ukrainian women who have played important roles in the conflict and community recovery, in a meeting with volunteers who help their communities cope with the aftermath of attacks with mental health care activities for children.

Prince Harry’s ‘optimistic’ words following death of the Queen
While Prince Harry was grief-stricken, he managed to find some solace in the weeks that followed the death of his grandmother, according to his wife Meghan Markle.
One month after the Queen’s death, Meghan gave an interview to Variety during which she was asked about the family’s loss.
The Duchess of Sussex said: “There’s been such an outpouring of love and support. I’m really grateful that I was able to be with my husband to support him, especially during that time.
“What’s so beautiful is to look at the legacy that his grandmother was able to leave on so many fronts. Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like.
“I feel deep gratitude to have been able to spend time with her and get to know her. It’s been a complicated time, but my husband, ever the optimist, said, ‘Now she’s reunited with her husband.'”

Doctor says it’s good that King Charles is returning to work

Professor Sikora, former advisor to the World Health Organisation on cancer care added: “The worst thing for anyone to do is to sit around watching daytime TV and reading magazines waiting for something to happen.
It is good that the King is willing to go back to his unusual job if he feels able as this will deflect the uncertainty about his future which can be frightening for anybody.”

Harry and Meghan ‘trying to look busy’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s project announcements are a clever “diversion tactic”, according to an expert.
Speaking on this week’s Palace Confidential, the Daily Mail’s Richard Kay said that the couple always seems to be “in a hurry to make announcements”, with them also trying to look “busy”.
Mr Kay went on to say that Meghan appears to be “proud” of what she’s working on, with the couple’s project announcements almost “a way of taking breath and pausing trying to decide what to do next”. Although Richard Eden said it’s a “very strange way of operating”.

Camilla hails ‘brilliant’ all-female yacht crew
The Queen has praised a group of yachtswomen for their “brilliant” win in a global race that broke diversity barriers.
Camilla welcomed to her Clarence House home the crew of the Maiden, who became the first all-female outfit to triumph in a round-the-world yacht challenge when they won the Ocean Globe Race earlier this month.
“You’re doing a brilliant job, keep on doing it – that’s really important,” the Queen told the women, who are part of a project promoting the education of women and girls.
Heather Thomas, from Otley, West Yorkshire, captained Maiden to victory as the vessel raced for 153 days and crossed the finish line on April 16 at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
She said after the champagne reception: “It was incredible after we’d found out we’d won. It’s a pretty historic moment for women’s sailing, I’m really happy with the result, the girls all worked really hard for it – so we’re proud of ourselves.”

Charles will be ‘too busy’ to see Harry next week
According to The Telegraph, a potential meet-up between Prince Harry and his father King Charles next week seems unlikely as the Duke’s visit coincides with the monarch making his return to public-facing duties and sources saying he is “quite busy”.
On the day Harry is in London for the Invictus service, the publication says Charles has his weekly audience with the Prime Minister.
He could also be expected to appear at the first of the annual Buckingham Palace garden parties that day and has other appointments in the diary for that day and the rest of the week.

Meghan Markle said she and Prince Harry have ‘differing personalities’
In February 2018, the former ‘Fab Four’ appeared together at the Royal Foundation Forum. At the time, Princess Kate was pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis, while Meghan was preparing for her wedding to Harry three months later.
It was Meghan’s most high-profile royal outing to date. And as the two couples sat together on the stage, she was asked what it was like working with Kate, Harry and William.
“Thank goodness it’s such differing personalities and that everyone’s very communicative, because that’s how you can really see bigger change,” she said, acknowledging their contrasting personas.
“If everyone’s thinking the same way, how are you going to push the envelope? You know, how are you really going to break through in a different sort of mindset? Changing mindsets and all of that is part of this communication that we have constantly. So, I think it’s part of the reason we’ve had so much success with Heads Together and whatever we end up working on moving forward.”

Kate Middleton’s dress featured secret hidden detail
Kate Middleton’s wedding dress featured a secret detail that was hidden inside her gown.
The mum-of-three stunned on her wedding day as she combined tradition and modernity, by wearing a timeless corset by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. But not all of the features were on show, as her team stitched a tiny blue ribbon into the interior to give her ‘something blue’.
Kate’s dress also included padding to help give her a fuller shape due to her slender figure. The Palace said at the time: “The ivory satin bodice, which is narrowed at the waist and padded at the hips, draws on the Victorian tradition of corsetry and is a hallmark of Alexander McQueen’s designs.”

William played major role in Princess Beatrice’s break up with love of life
Prince William and Kate Middleton could have contributed to the breakdown of Princess Beatrice’s relationship with the love of her life.
Before she met her husband, Beatrice was in a ten-year relationship with David Clark, whom she met through her cousin, Prince William. The two men had met while studying in Scotland and William then introduced the pair in 2006.
However, William is said to have later felt uneasy about the relationship and his friendship with David eventually became cold. According to insiders, he struggled to ‘warm’ to David.
In April 2011, it was reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t invite Dave to their wedding. Although Beatrice stayed with Dave for another five years after that, they did break up in 2016.

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are ‘beautifully polite’, says star
TV star Shirley Ballas has praised Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for their impeccable manners.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge said she met the pair during a secret visit to the studios last year December. They were accompanied by their mum Kate for a fun day out.
She told The Sun: “When they visited we had these crowns on set, so I thought it would be a nice idea to give the little girl a crown and I got him a nice box of sweets.
“They’re beautifully polite children. They had an absolute ball. We have photos, but I didn’t want to post them. I think it’s more private for her. I was just glad she was able to come in and have a great day. They all watch Strictly.”

King Charles’ exact date he will return to public duties amid major health update
Since the news of his shock cancer diagnosis, King Charles has mainly kept his duties behind palace walls.
When his condition was revealed in early February, the monarch took a break from public-facing duties as he began receiving treatment for the undisclosed type of cancer. But last week, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Charles would shortly be returning to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent diagnosis.
And the exact date he will return to public duties has also been revealed – and it is tomorrow. The palace has confirmed that both he and Queen Camilla will visit a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday to meet medical specialists and patients. It is understood this centre has not been directly involved with the King’s medical care.

Kate Middleton shares unseen wedding photo that we were never meant to see on anniversay
The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a stuning unseen wedding photo from their private album as they mark their 13th wedding anniversary.

It shows the couple smiling for the camera, with Kate in her wedding gown and William in military uniform in a snap taken at Buckingham Palace by their personal photographer on the day, Millie Pilkington. Sharing the photo, it was captioned: “13 years today!”

Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet will only come to UK with Prince Harry if there’s ‘major change’
It is just a matter of days before Prince Harry makes yet another return to the UK for an event extremely close to his heart.
The Duke of Sussex has confirmed he will be at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 to mark the 10th anniversary of his highly successful Invictus Games. The Games, which had its inaugural event in London in 2014, are for sick and injured servicemen and women and were co-founded by Harry. His wife Meghan Markle has been a huge supporter of Invictus and recently accompanied Harry on a trip to Canada in February to promote the 2025 Games, which are taking place in Vancouver and Whistler next year.
However, when it comes to next month’s event in London, although Harry is attending, Meghan and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will not join him. Instead Meghan will meet up with Harry after his visit to the UK, and the pair will head to Nigeria after being invited by the west African country’s chief of defence staff, who met Harry in Germany last September at Invictus Games Dusseldorf. There, the couple will meet service members and their families, and participate in traditional cultural activities, Nigerian media reported.

William and Kate anniversary ‘won’t be easy’ after ‘difficult year’
The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to celebrate their wedding anniversary after a “difficult year”, according to a royal expert.
It has been 13 years since the couple got hitched – but this year the celebrations will “not be easy” as Kate continues to recover after her cancer diagnosis.
They’re expected to celebrate away from the spotlight following Kate’s request for “time, space and privacy” after the devastating news earlier this year. In the past, the pair released anniversary photographs on their social media platforms and it’s expected that this year will be no different.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun: “This will not be an anniversary that will be easy. All sorts of memories will come back. It does looks as if we’ll probably get a photograph of some sort or another. When they celebrated 10 years they put out a charming video of the family. Last year they were on bikes – that was a delightful photograph.”

So far, there has been no mention of any senior royals, his wife Meghan or their children Archie and Lilibet attending with him, reports The Express.

Kate Middleton revealed Prince William’s bad habit in brutal five-word slip-up
The Princess of Wales once let slip one of her husband William’s bad habits – and many of us can relate.
At the time, the royal couple were on a visit to an RAF base in Cyprus in 2018. During their time there, they opened up a new recreation facility and it was then that Kate revealed her pet peeve. As William warned the recruits “Keep the pizza off the sofas”, Kate quickly retorted: “You’re a nightmare with that.”
It’s no secret that the parents-of-three enjoy the occasional takeaway. During an interview with BBCRadio 1 in 2017, Kate was asked if the family ever ordered takeaways – and if so, what was her favourite.
The Princess replied: “Absolutely, and curry, definitely!” She further added: “It doesn’t usually get ordered to the palace, we tend to go and pick it up,” before jokingly adding “not ourselves!”

Duchess has ‘long way to go’ before returning to UK
As Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK, one expert has chimed in, saying that Meghan Markle has a “long way to go” before being welcomed back.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam said: “I think there’s a long way to go before Harry is bringing over Meghan and the children.”
Speaking to The Sun, he continued: “I never thought that Meghan would come over because of the hostility towards her here, but one has to emphasize that it’s obvious from the opinion polls. And of course, you’d get a press that was far from flattering, but that is linked to the Sussexes behaviour over the last four years.
“It may not be definite that she isn’t coming, but it’s most unlikely. Meghan’s reception would overshadow the message of the service, and you wouldn’t want that.”

Huge blow to King Charles as Brit support for the monarchy plummets
The British public’s support for the monarchy has dropped to a historic low as just over half, 54 percent, think it is “very” or “quite important” for Britain to have a monarchy.
A survey by the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) shows that this is the lowest proportion on record since 1983, when nearly nine in 10 (86 percent) said that it was important to have a monarchy.
According to the research, support for the monarchy has been in decline over the last decade or so, with a temporary reversal after Elizabeth’s death in September 2022, shortly after which more than six in 10 felt that having a monarchy was important.
But the decline has returned since King Charles’s ascension to the throne, as a quarter of Brits (25 percent) now believe that either “the monarchy should be abolished” or that it is “not at all important”, matching a figure first recorded in 2021, prior to the late Queen Elizabeth’s death.
The institute said that younger people have always been less likely than older people to believe that it is “very important” for Britain to have a monarchy, though each successive generation has seemingly come to support the monarchy more as it has got older, and the gap in support between younger and older people has remained fairly stable.
