‘Some regrets’: Prince Harry haunted after slamming Princess Catherine in bombshell memoir Spare amid Kate’s cancer battle
A royal insider has claimed Prince Harry likely “has some regrets” about criticising his sister-in-law Princess Catherine in his memoir Spare in light of Kate’s cancer diagnosis.
Prince Harry may have ‘some regrets’ over elements of his memoir ‘Spare’
Prince Harry reportedly “has some regrets” for how he treated his sister-in-law Princess Catherine since leaving the royal family, including jabs in his best-selling memoir Spare.
Royal editor for the Daily Mirror Russell Myers told Royal Report the Duke of Sussex may have approached the book differently in “hindsight” following King Charles and Princess Catherine’s cancer diagnoses.
“Hindsight is a wonderful thing in certain quarters and unfortunately the events of the last few weeks have happened well after Prince Harry put pen to paper,” he told Sky News Australia host Caroline Di Russo on Sunday.
“An awful lot of things were said in that book that perhaps he has some regrets.”

In Spare, Harry wrote in detail about Kate’s rift with his wife Meghan Markle that was supposedly sparked over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
Harry offered his side of the infamous back and forth between Kate and Meghan, which he claimed left his partner “sobbing on the floor” ahead of their 2018 wedding.
“Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!” Harry wrote, before claiming the Princess of Wales reduced Meghan to tears.
The rogue royal also revealed personal text messages exchanged between Meghan and Kate amid the disagreement over Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

Elsewhere in the book, the former working royal claimed that Kate “grimaced” when Meghan asked to borrow lip gloss and claimed the Princess encouraged Harry to wear his infamous Nazi Halloween costume.
Mr Myers believes the Sussexes also regret how they left the monarchy and their subsequent estrangement from all senior royals minus Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie.
“Perhaps Meghan and Harry do regret how they left the royal family,” he said.
“It all got very heated up in the moment, I think and it spilled out into the public sphere.
“If maybe they had an opportunity perhaps they could have thrashed it out like the late Queen and King Charles wanted perhaps it could have all been avoided.
